An album that shows the maturity that the NYC band has reached after their debut “Flares”. Well written and well thought out tracks, each one defining the Earth Science sound, and the album as a whole follows the Post Rock trend of winding melodies, each instrument trying to battle for the foreground while the listener is accompanied upwards on a spiral of emotion and thought. The twists are more abrupt, and although not a math rock band or album, there is a clear identification with the more “mathy” bands within the genre.

A 50 minute musical trip with all the crescendos that Post Rock lovers dare to hope for.
